Between Gatsby-vibes and Semperoper ballet.
As I told you previously, I went to see Golden Globe nominee Sarah Hay performing »Tristan + Isolde« at Semperoper ballet in Dresden. Wearing this beautiful black dress I got from my mothers’ friend and a pair of wannabe-ballet-shoes my father and a friend rushed through the equally beautiful townscape of Dresden in order to arrive dead on time. Driving for six hours and checking into our hotel took longer than expected, but we were able to make it 5 minutes before the curtain started rising at 7pm and had yet enough time for a commemorative selfie. Later on, back home, I took these photos and while editing them I realized how they remind me of one of my favourite movies »The Great Gatsby«. Elegant, dramatic and dynamic. Just like »Tristan + Isolde«. Just like »Flesh and Bone«.
But back to the dress. The lace detail radiates Asian energy and could be motif of some ancient Chinese porcelain just as well. When I tried the dress on for the first time, I thought it was a dragon, what would have been even more interesting. Well, Asia brings me to another topic. Taiwan. Only 10 days left until my plane takes off. Winnie, hopefully you remember my internet friend, prepared an awesome schedule, fully packed with museums, trips, food stops and fabric shopping sprees. I’M EXCITED!
