Welcome to part 2 of the »Princess for a Day« photo series, inspired by Oscar de la Renta and Peter Lindbergh. May this editorial tickle your fancy.

As already indicated, the baroque photo series I shot with my friend Michelle doesn‘t amount to only one but two costumes borrowed from the costume stock of the city theatre of Constance. Fortunately, this baby blue frilly dream of a dress wasn‘t as heavy as the green velvet dress featured in the first part of the »Princess for a Day« series, so Michelle was able to walk, thus venture outside for some outdoor pictures, in it. I drew inspiration from a photo of a light blue/white Oscar de la Renta gown captured by Peter Lindbergh I saw on Instagram a few years ago. Ever since that picture appeared in my sight it was etched in my mind and I knew, one day I’d like to be able to take a comparable photo. Of course, I’m still not there and it’s going to need some years and tons of experience, but shooting this series provided me with newly gained confidence as a – I dare to say – photographer. Could have called the editorial »Photographer for a Day« just as well, I guess. The mere editing process had me learn and try out so many, so far unknown, techniques that let sudden motivation burst upon me like a brisk summer rain popping up. I want to take my photography skills further, though I don’t intend them to take on a role as important as fashion design for me. But variety is key, not only within one creative profession, but among all of them. Why exercise them separately? Why not combine several of them in the future?

    • Even though it might look like the temperature was okay, it was freakishly cold and windy on that day (gladly, the wig wasn’t blown away xD)! But we had our fun, nevertheless, I guess! Thanks, I’m excited to see where life will take me, as well! :D
