An impromptu smartphone editorial leading to an unintentional retro effect ft. a sailorlike outfit…

Here’s the outfit I wore, when Winnie took me to the Huashan 1914 Creative Park in Taipei/Taiwan. The Huashan 1914 Creative Park basically is an abandoned factory site providing space for many cool shops, exhibitions and events.

There are also some picture-worthy places, like this staircase for instance. Not prepared for finding such a picture-perfect photo spot, I didn’t take my camera with me.

That’s why Winnie and I ended up taking photos of each other with my − against all odds not that bad − smartphone cam, which led to this unintenional retro effect. I dig how well shades like red and blue work with the slightly blurry quality of the pics in order to compose a warm, almost Mediterranean feeling. Who would have thought not carrying your DSLR with you could be a good thing…
