Here’s on an afternoon spent capturing a strange Alien x Roaring 20s crossover instead of doing my homework. True rebellion.
Drawing from my recent affinity for ices, metals and big earrings – which is in fact not that recent anymore, but has been lasting since Christmas 2015, when a cold had knocked me out and chained me to bed for a week, leaving me listening to Lady Gaga’s and Tony Bennett’s »Cheek to Cheek« on repeat while endlessly scrolling through designer shops, knowing I couldn’t even afford a sock – I sat in front of my camera and let it capture the rays of glitter radiating from my face.
The very un-Lary hairstyle was inspired by Shailene Woodley’s hair in »Allegiant« and paired with this embossed neoprene vest from Zara to complement the science fiction vibes. Speaking of science fiction, sci-fi emerges to be my favourite movie genre. Stylish outfits, witty dialogues, pinched with a little action. What else could you ask for? Well, except for a pair of statement earrings, maybe. I found these rocks on sale online and have caught myself wearing them as an upper for casual hoodie outfits, as you might have seen on Snapchat or Instagram Stories. Very Vetements, right?
Even though or rather because I wouldn’t consider make-up one of my specialties, I feel the need to improve and get a little crazy in that department, thus the excessive glitter sprinkling. And with ‘make-up’ I’m talking eye make-up, lipstick and perhaps a little ‘ear tint’, only. Don’t get me wrong (or get me wrong, if you want to), but I really hate the way make-up removes any facial features – like freckles and cheekbones – whatsoever.
To add some dynamics, I looked up how to create a GIF and et voilà here’s the first one I’ve ever made. Might incorporate more of them in the future, it’s quite a crisp and fun way to display photos, isn’t it? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments down below!
